Avenida da Liberdade, 38B1250-145 Lisboa
Stivali, a historic fashion name in Portugal, just (re)opened their store - on Avenida da Liberdade, no. 38B - with a new floor, new Valentino and Saint Laurent shop-in-shops, and customized corners for the following brands: Fendi, Dolce&Gabanna, Chloé, Moncler and Roger Vivier.
As explained by Manuel Casal, the owner of this iconic multi-brand store, "after the opening of the Chanel shop-in-shop early last year (Stivali has been working with the French brand for 23 years, a unique relationship in the world), Valentino immediately approached us. And the same thing happened with Saint Laurent..." In fact, several brands were interested in joining this store's expansion project in order to consolidate their presence in Lisbon.
The Valentino shop-in-shop, located on the ground floor alongside Chanel, was designed by architect David Chipperfield, with decor elements and finishes identical to the company's own stores. Meanwhile, on the first floor, designed by architect Cristina Jorge de Carvalho, nude hues and noble materials such as stone, stainless steel and mirrors lend an eclectic elegance to an ambiance where brightness serves as a canvas for the Fendi, Dolce&Gabanna, Chloé and Moncler corners. A Saint Laurent shop-in-shop stands out in this new floor, true to the brand's international identity.
In addition to these new showcases, one should also point out the return of Fendi to Stivali and - a Portugal exclusive - the presentation of a customized Roger Vivier corner - one of the most iconic shoe brands in the world, for which "only six shops in the world have this kind of venue."
And if it's true that Stivali was created for Portuguese women, it is also true that there are more and more international customers: "those who live in Lisbon and those who are on vacation and come here; customers who are surprised to find a Chanel bag they couldn't find back where they live, or who come here because they have a dinner party and want to buy a dress, and then end up falling in love with an Elie Saab... Customers who never visited the store are always delighted", Manuel Casal says with a smile.
