The building known today as “Pousada dos Lóios” is the old convent of St. John Evangelist founded in 1487, also known as convent of the “Lóios”. The hotel has 36 rooms and suites and is part of a national network of ancient historical building now transformed in hotels. In this case many of the rooms are decorated with frescos.
